About Boujad rugs
Boujad rugs come from the Haouz region between the Middle and High Atlas, and they’re immediately recognisable by their color: saturated pinks, reds, and purples woven into bold geometric patterns, a world apart from the muted cream of a Beni Ourain. Like other Berber rugs, each one is hand-knotted and represents the individual weaver — her choices in color and pattern, often with small asymmetries that are part of the handmade character rather than a flaw.
Genuine Boujad rugs have become increasingly rare as their popularity has grown internationally, which makes each piece in this collection a little more particular to source. They’re hand-woven pile rugs, meaning they carry real thickness and softness underfoot, not the flatter weave of a kilim.
Bringing Color Into a Room
Where a Beni Ourain or Azilal rug tends to anchor a room quietly, a Boujad rug is meant to be a focal point — the kind of piece a room gets built around rather than added to last.
Choosing and Caring for a Boujad Rug
Because the color is the whole point of a Boujad rug, place it somewhere it will actually be seen — centered in a living room, at the foot of a bed, or as a runner in a hallway with good light. Vacuum regularly to keep the pile lofted, spot-clean spills right away, and keep it out of harsh, direct sun for long stretches to protect the saturation of the dye over time.

Shipping is free. Orders ship from Morocco by standard shipping and are processed in about 4 days on average; delivery takes 10–15 working days to most of the USA and Europe, and 12–21 days elsewhere. Import taxes or duties may apply in some countries. See our shipping policy.
